Read this correctly: an LCA is an employer filing, not a worker arrival, household or home purchase. One filing can cover several positions.

METHODOLOGY & TRUST

What this dashboard measures, and what it does not.

Observed

Certified H-1B LCA filings and employer-declared new-employment positions from US Department of Labor OFLC disclosure data.

Calculated by GRAI

Like-for-like year-over-year changes, market shares and wage-level composition derived from the disclosure records.

Not measured

Worker arrivals, unique H-1B residents, household moves, home purchases, home sales or migration flows.

Important file trap

The FY2026 Q3 DOL file is cumulative from Oct 1, 2025 through Jun 30, 2026. GRAI filters by decision date to isolate Apr–Jun for like-for-like comparisons.

Geography limitation

The main disclosure file records one worksite city on each filing, while some LCAs cover multiple worksites. City-level figures are therefore directional employment-filing indicators. The six-city DFW aggregate reduces some intra-corridor attribution noise but is not a count of workers physically located in the corridor.

Why the dashboard will change

Future versions will join supplementary DOL worksite records where available and add housing, rental, local-consumption and commercial-real-estate indicators only after each data pipe has been validated. Historical values may be restated if a more precise official source becomes available.
